The next stable version of the alsa-driver (1.0.14) should be released next monday (june 3rd). http://news.gmane.org/gmane.linux.alsa.devel So if you don't want to go through the hassle of patching the driver as described in the ubuntu forums thread I recommend waiting for Monday and compiling the stable version. Just go trough steps 1-5 in the forum thread replacing "1.0.14rc" with 1.0.14 every where. Skip step 6 and in step 8 just skip the first two commands where the patch is applied as the functionality is already in the driver.
I hope the new driver will be added to the ubuntu-kernels soon, as it has many fixes and improvements for the hda-intel driver, which seems to be very popular in newer laptops. -- speakers do not mute on dv2000 when jack pluged https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/93945 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
