You might be mixing up how it was a little earlier with what it's doing now :)
Originally, it was doing a search for #ubuntu. That gave us a really cool, wide range of tweets from all sorts of people. Unfortunately, the lack of moderation was really worrying, so that was replaced with a list of accounts that aren't likely to troll people. That list is managed over here: https://twitter.com/#!/hello_ubuntu/installer-slideshow (One of those accounts is an account that retweets stuff, so when everything is live it'll look a little more exciting). I hope to see it happen, but getting a diverse language selection inside that framework is going to be something of an operation. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/942046 Title: Hide Twitter stream for non-English slideshows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu/+bug/942046/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
