This looks like its a race-condition, maybe with the update-software-
center-agent process. What is puzzling is that the code is not doing any
glib event processing so the for loop should have a valid db.

Is this reproducable for you? Can you outline the steps that triggered
the crash? Was it just enabling recommendations and after that it
crashed?
