Once again the sound is not working on my aunt's computer win Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid). apport-bug is failing (infinite wait), so that does not help.
Last time I had the same problem it was due to the missing package linux-alsa-driver-modules-$(uname -r) in the ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa repository for Lucid.
