Alright, I think it's not a bug in the nvidia driver, but more of a
general problem with installing onto a usb stick.

In oneiric we saw an issue where it'd fail because it couldn't update
the bootloader on a usb stick.  I think that got sorted out.  There was
also an issue with running out of disk space when installing proprietary
drivers on usb sticks, that the installer didn't handle.  I don't know
if that got sorted out, but assume so.

Anyway, not really sure where this bug should go next for
troubleshooting, so just going to bump it to the ubuntu queue.
