Public bug reported: This evening (3/16/2012), the Firefox version 11 update that was pushed to Ubuntu 10.04 has rendered FF useless. The address bar and search bar in Firefox stopped working after I upgraded to 11 in ubuntu 10.04. Typing in URLs or search phrases is not followed by any FF activity.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. I even went so far as to rename the ".mozilla" folder to ".mozillaOld" (to create a new profile), restart the PC and install FF again. After starting FF, I answered the few prompts and FF then allowed me to enter one URL. After which, the application was rendered useless again. I restarted FF but the problem persists.
