Suspend does not kick in when closing the lid of my MacBookPro 5,2; it
does however work when clicking "suspend" from the system menu.
I would expect suspend to kick in when the lid is closed, as it is
configured in System Settings > Power > "When the lid is closed" >
Suspend.
