** Description changed:
Hi,
I was using 10.04 without any problems for a long time then upgraded to 11.10
for a few days back. No sound can be heard after the upgrade. I have switched
back to Gnome hoping that this might help (and because I like it better than
the new Ubuntu shell), but this didn't help. I googled around and tried to
unmute the speakers. It seems that the sound device is correctly detected (an
internal such). I don't know what more should I check or change.
Any help is appreciated.
