No it wasn't a multimonitor setup. I had an impression I can reproduce reliably and all the time. I did a dist-upgrade this morning and I don't see it any more. So right now I'm not sure. Either this only shows up every now and then (and I did reboot after the dist-upgrade) or the last dist-upgrade fixed the problem. If I see this again I'll update the bug. For now I think it is IMHO OK to close.
