Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20
Evesham 7521 laptop, (there seem to be many companies that sold identical laptops with 7521 model names. I believe that http://support.packardbell.com/hu/mypc/?PibItemNr=platform_7521N# is identical hardware wise. it is running feisty fawn. it appears to suspend to ram fine, but fails to resume. on attempting resume, the is hard disk activity, then a second of silence, then activity again (sounds a bit like it is having a second attempt), then just flashing cursor on the screen. suspend has never work successfully on ubuntu (hoary to feisty) I have followed the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend . I get either [ 21.860392] hash matches device ptyx0 or [ 21.704506] hash matches device ttyr0 but neither of these seem to be modules, so i can't modprobe -r them. I tried putting them into /etc/defaults/acpi-support in the MODULES section, which did not help either. I shall attach hardware info ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.20 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- fails to resume after suspend to ram on evesham 7521 laptop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/118401 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
