I have tried to test the latest upstream kernel as advised, by downloading the .deb package with the linux-image-3.3.0-030300-generic_3.3.0-030300.201203182135_amd64, then installing it. After restarting the machine the new kernel hangs up before entering the desktop, a black screen it's all shown, so I was unable to test this upstream kernel; Also, it didn't work to "startx" it in recovery mode.
I'm writing this with the standard kernel installed in Oneiric. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/937296 Title: Re-activating wireless freezes laptop in Oneiric To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/937296/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
