I've reproduced this issue with ubiquity 2.9.30 when trying to reproduce
bug 792652

** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Confirmed

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: ubiquity

  Installer crash during install of 10.10 Beta from the x86 DVD:

  I replaced /bin/mount by a script which mounts / with the btrfs compress
  option (formated it to btrfs of course). In the Timezone selection
  dialog i was brought back to the format dialog by an error message (/
  couldnt be mounted).

  After a reverse of my mount script i clicked forward and then the error
  message appeared and crashed the installer (It didnt close, Im simply
  caught in the partitioning dialog and quit doesnt work)

  I was happy the installer was that stable and expected the intstall to
  continue / rebegin normally, but nope...
