Thomas, Hello. I just wanted to confirm which version of linux-firmware you were using in Precise, and also which modules were loaded. However, if you can just confirm the following it may be enough information:
* Using the Lucid kernel: Do you need to also install the external bcm_wimax module to get this working, or does this work out of the box? * Using Natty or Precise kernel: I see the bcm driver in drivers/staging/bcm is looking for the following files: #define BIN_FILE "/lib/firmware/macxvi200.bin" #define CFG_FILE "/lib/firmware/macxvi.cfg" However looking at linux-firmware package I don't see any files by that name that get installed. So it would make sense if _just_ installing those firmware files into /lib/firmware potentially fixed the issue. Does the device work fine when just installing those two firmware files?
