Binary package hint: xserver-xorg
With Gutsy and xorg-xserver 1.3, I have been able to start X without an
xorg.conf file, or any configuration file. I have been able to run a
composite manager like this, and it runs well. However, Xorg doesn't
detect my touchpad. Why not test every driver matching the hardware
first, and use evdev as a last resort?
