Binary package hint: xfce4-panel
When installing a new application, eg. installing Xchat with Synaptic
after a new install, Xchat is not added to the "network" menu.
I'm using xfce 4.4.0 with Xubuntu 7.04, and I think I remember it once
did automatically update the menu...
