Public bug reported:

New, clean install of 11.10 Gnome Classic on Lenovo Ideapad S12 (Intel
Atom).

Enable wireless is checked in network-manager applet (right click menu)
but reported as disabled in applet (left click menu).

Hardware Wi-fi verified in on position.

Will not search for wi-fi networks, no connection possible.

S12 ability to connect verfied with Windows XP (dual-boot)
