Public bug reported:

I have Alt+1 assigned to "Switch to Workspace 1" (and similar for Alt+2,
Alt+3, etc). If I'm in a terminal on workspace 2 and I hit Alt+1, when I
return I see that Alt+1 has been delivered to Unity (which made the
switch) but also the focused terminal as well. This may leave garbage in
my terminal if I'm doing a "read foo" or may alter the behavior of the
running app (such as with something like irssi).

This is a clear regression from all previous versions of Unity that I've
used (11.10, 11.04, etc).
