on gutsy i tried
1) make a spreadsheet in openoffice (just contained a few numbers)
2) save as test.ods
3) open test.ods with gnumeric
4) save as test.gnumeric
5) close gnumeric
6) open test.gnumeric with gnumeric
step 6 worked fine.
do you still suffer from this in feisty/gutsy?
can you provide more detialed instructions to reproduce? or an example
ods/xls file?
