Thank you for using Ubuntu and reporting a bug. The security warning would not
have been with icedtea itself but rather with the java code it was trying to
execute. To remove the icedtea, open a terminal and perform:
$ sudo apt-get remove icedtea6-plugin
It is possible you already uninstalled based on your description.
