Public bug reported:
WLAN channels above 11 (2,4 GHz) do not work on an HP5101 Mini notebook, even
though e.g. channel 13 works fine on the same machine and same WLAN network
when the notebook runs Windows XP Home (dual boot).
I've tried to change the setting in Linux that determines the range of channels
for the WLAN card, but it didn't make a difference. (It's many months from
experimenting with this setting, so unfortunately I forgot its name.)
The notebook runs Ubuntu 11.10 and has been updated again this morning, but the
problem is still there.
My other HP4515s notebook running the same Ubuntu follows a channel change made
at the WLAN router without problems.
