Intermittent issue, sometimes forces hard reset.

In trying to determine what was happening, I installed netconsole per
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Netconsole

I have captured the log files per
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelOops

I note that in the dmesg output there is a message for the USB subsystem
immediately before the issue, I have a MCE Remote connected via a pair
of baluns over a 30m cat5 cable. I used to get a lot of messages about
EFI, like:

[57844.664077] hub 4-0:1.0: port 2 disabled by hub (EMI?), re-enabling...
[57844.664090] usb 4-2: USB disconnect, device number 2

and sometimes the system would lock up. I changed the cabling over to
cat7 and grounded the shield on the PC chassis and the issue now only
occures occasionally, but this should cause a kernel oops!

Thanks,
Douglas
