O SISTEMA FICOU MUITO INSTÁVEL, ENTÃO RESOLVI REINSTALAR TUDO DO ZERO.
ACHO QUE HOUVE ALGUM TIPO DE PROBLEMA COM AS CONFIGURAÇÕES DO COMPIZ QUE ANDEI
MECHENDO.
AGORA TÁ SHOW DE BOLA. ESTOU ANCIOSO PELA CHEGADA DO UBUNTU 04.12 FINAL.

Depois que fiz atualização do kernel para a versão 3.0.0.15 o boot ficou
lento e o sistema so carrega depois que dou ENTER ou ligo a chave do wi-
fi. Antes estava aparecento as mensagens: waiting for network
configuration; waiting up to 60 more seconds for network configuration;
booting sistem without full network configuration; Procurei nos foruns
sobre o assunto, fiz algumas modificações e agora não aparece mais essas
mensagens, porém o sistema só carrega depois que ligo o wi-fi e, mesmo
assim, depois de carregado o wi-fi fica desabilitado; tenho que enviar o
comando para ativá-lo (sudo ifconfig eth2 up). Outra coisa curiosa é que
a lan sem fio não aparece como sendo wl0 e sim eth2; Também não aparece
nas configurações de energia as configurações de hibernar ou desligar.
Uma última observação: antes de atualizar o kernel eu fiz um teste com o
live CD do LinuxMint 12 - Lisa; a Placa de Rede sem fio não foi
reconhecida, dai eu conectei via cabo e liguei o wi-fi; apareceu o
assistente de instalação de drivers proprietários que baixou uma
atualização e fez a placa do wi-fi funcionar; não sei se tem alguma
coisa a ver, mas fica o registro.
