A second attempt without triggering the install from the live CD ended
up in a hung machine as well. Unable to go beyond the screen that asks
for user name and machine name, password, etc.

This time, the /var/log/installer/debug file shows a different error:
** (ubiquity:3053): WARNING **: The connection is closed

(ubiquity:3053): Pango-WARNING **: error opening config file

Attached a second set of logs, from the same test machine.
