It depends what java is set as default alternative. You can either set Sun Java 
as default (either 6 or 5) or modify /etc/netbeans5.5/netbeans.conf: Add line 
netbeans_jdkhome="/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun" 
to point to Sun JDK 6 or 
netbeans_jdkhome="/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun"
to point to Sun JDK 5 depending what JDK version is installed.
I added code to postinstall step to patch newly created netbeans.conf (if there 
si already one in /etc/netbeans5.5 user will have to modify it manualy or run 
purge on netbeans5.5 package first.
