This happens to me on a Natty container:

DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 11.04"
salgado@delgadito:~$ sudo lxc-start -n patchmetrics

init: udev-fallback-graphics main process (46) terminated with status 1
init: plymouth main process (6) killed by ABRT signal
init: plymouth-splash main process (52) terminated with status 2

Status: Invalid => Confirmed
