> Do you still have this issue with the latest release of Ubuntu ? I am running Feisty (fresh install) and I am using the Open Source ATI drivers and as far as I can remember I did not need to do the work- around I documented here:
http://abing.gotdns.com/posts/2006/dri-with-ati-cards-under-ubuntu-edgy- eft/ I am still using the cheap Radeon 9250 card that I was using before. I am forced to use the Open Source drivers because RV2xx is no longer supported by the latest proprietary drivers from ATI. They work OK as far as OpenGL functions are concerned. I was able to get Desktop Effects going with very few and minor problems. -- Error inserting drm module into the kernel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/52389 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
