Nothing in .xsession-errors ?
Here for some users, the logout dialog takes a very long time, but
eventually show and there's error:
** (x-session-manager:3798): WARNING **: Couldn't connect to
PowerManager Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the
remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy
blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection
was broken.
** Changed in: gnome-session (Ubuntu)
