Hello, i had the same Problem with a Marvell ethernet controller.
Bevore reading this bug-thread i made a upgrade from edgy to feisty but the
problem still occurs every few hours.
I installed the driver from
http://www.marvell.com/drivers/driverDisplay.do?dId=153&pId=36 as by Andreas
Simon described.
The system uptime is now about 4 days. No error occurs since installation of
the driver.
I think this is the solution for marvell-controller until the sky2 bug is fixed.
