The easiest way to try if this still a bug in the kernel is to run a live
session with the latest disposable image of precise:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/
or better again, install it and if encounter again problems try the latest
upstream kernel from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/
