Public bug reported:

I mounted an CIFS share (as user, no sudo) with the following options in
/etc/fstab:

//host.domain.tld/share /mnt/share cifs
defaults,users,noauto,gid=users,iocharset=utf8,codepage=cp850,credentials=/etc/samba/credentials/credentialfile
0 0

After unmounting (again as user) from console the icon in kde storage
media applet still shows the device as mounted. If I then try to unmount
the device via the applet (expecting the applet to show the share as
unmounted) it claims that there is no entry in /etc/mtab.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
