The contributor describes his patch to sensor-applet here : http://svpe.blogspot.com/2006/04/adding-support-for-sensors-of-my.html His code is based on the NVCtrl library, provided by nvidia-settings. Unfortunately, in feisty, there are two ways of getting nvidia-settings : * nvidia-glx or nvidia-glx-new : in this case, the nvidia-setting is included but it doesn't provided the library nor the headers. * nvidia-glx-legacy : in this case, you should also use the nvidia-settings package which provides the library !!! (usr/lib/libXNVCtrl.a).
Why does the nvidia-settings included in the nvidia-glx or nvidia-glx- new packages doesn't provide this library anymore ? The situation is the same in Debian testing, so this bug (or feature) should have come with the sync, no ? -- nvidia support in sensors-applet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107465 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
