Same problem in Oneiric Ocelot all the way through Alpha, Beta, release.
Same problem in Precise Pangolin all the way through Alpha, and in Beta 1 and
Beta 2 both ubuntu and lubuntu, both generic-pae and generic.

I'm able to connect by plugging in an ancient Realtec pci card.

Precise Pangolin then shows two wireless adapters.

Pangolin tries to connect with the Aero, does connect, then disconnects.

The Realtek runs O.K.

Periodically, Pangolin will try to connect the Aero again, puts a pop up window
that it is disconnected (kernel problem really).
Sometimes I can select disconnect and it gives me another disconnect message
then doesn't do it again until next boot. Then again tries the Aero, connects,
shortly thereafter disconnects, pop up window, etc.

I'm on another pc at the moment or I could give you the adapter info.
