Public bug reported:

Unity appears to lose drag and drop events during the panel fade effect.
Before the fade, and after the fade, drag and drop works perfectly.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Have a few text files on one side of the desktop, and a text editor open on
the other side.
2. Drag files onto text editor to open them.
3. During the Unity panel fade animation, drag and drop will be lost.

The reason why I suggest having files and text editor on opposite sides of the
desktop is to allow sufficient time for the Unity panel to decide to fade.

This issue exists in Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2 and Ubuntu 11.10, exactly the same.
