Public bug reported:
Hi there,
I'm not sure that this is causative, as I only have one correlative
data-point. However, it strikes me that, having just upgraded my iBook
G4 (which I use as a PulseAudio sound server) to the linux-powerpc-smp
kernel, I am unable to use my external USB X-Fi soundcard, receiving the
following error when I plug it in (to either port):
[ 614.418542] usb 4-1: new full-speed USB device number 2 using ohci_hcd
[ 614.637488] cannot find the slot for index 0 (range 0-0), error: -16
[ 614.637729] cannot create card instance 0
[ 614.637870] snd-usb-audio: probe of 4-1:1.0 failed with error -5
This does not occur under the non-smp kernel.
** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Invalid
