Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird
If there are network issues connecting or maintaining a connection to
the IMAP server, the entire Thunderbird application will sometimes
become unresponsive.
Sometimes tasks can be accomplished without network activity (composing
email) but this becomes impossible.
