I'm also experiencing this issue in precise pangolin, but on an HP
Pavilion DV6.
$ lspci | grep Audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio
Controller (rev 03)
$ uname -m
x86_64
$ uname -r
3.2.0-20-generic
