I can confirm this is a problem. I have just installed Feisty on a new hard drive. If I plug an external USB drive in the icon pops up and I can transfer files. If I then right click the icon and eject I get a message in the bottom left of the screen saying "there is data that needs to be written before the device can be removed..." and then a dialog box saying "cannot eject volume"
Note this happens if I just plug in the usb drive and do NOT write anything to it. -- FEISTY (final): remove usb disk : fail to eject https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/117133 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
