I have a A4 APU with AMD RADEON 6480g Graphics on my laptop and as soon as I install the drivers for it I reboot and it hangs at checking battery state or something. It works in 12.04 but is VERY unstable. I can work my way around getting it to work in 11.10 but then I still have problems with 3D applications just freezing the system all together...not very productive. Especially when using wine.
