oops, i clicked on that button in the notification at the top, which
said that the bug is not in the xorg package, and it put xorg back in
the list without asking for confirmation. i am sorry for the troubles
caused, i am not trying to be pedantic or something.

i must add that i also tried the vesa driver in xorg.conf and it showed
the same garble. so the problem is not limited to the i810 driver.

  when monitor is connected to analog all will show correct.
  when connected to DVI and resolution set to 1280 x 1024 or higher then 
display will be garbled.
