Sound problem:
Mi sound device <PHILIPS PSC805> usb-audio worked nice in Ubuntu Dapper,
(though I couldn't enable 5.1)
In Ubuntu 6.10 Knot I have some Alsa problems:
<alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for default: No such device>
At System>Preferences>Sound, I can reproduce the testing sound if I choose
USB-AUDIO, but with Alsa, OSS and ESD it says:
<audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample !
gconfaudiosink: Unable to open the ¿write system?
At the last but one dist-upgrade, it removed my user from the admin
group: at the <groups> file, with the problem that I can't log in as
root or use sudo now.
I can't <copy dvd> with k3b, because I'm using one device as CD reader
and burner, and when changing the CD to burn, it says an eject error
(wasn't happening with Dapper).
