You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Columns whose scroll bar is next to another column do not have the new
grabable scoll handle. I don't know if this is a feature of Ubuntu's
version of Gnome and Unity or what, but you cannot grab the pop up
"handle" to scroll those columns to the top, or down to the bottom. The
only way to scroll the colum is with the mouse wheel. Fine for reading,
but certainly not for quickly moving through a busy list.
