Please check that report and let us know if it matches what you are
seeing.
Could you please try one of the following workarounds from bug 772549?
And please report back here if that resolves the problem (which would
indicate that this is indeed a duplicate of bug 772549.
WORKAROUND 1:
Type the following into a terminal:
killall software-center
-- or --
WORKAROUND 2:
Reboot your computer. After that, Software Center should launch normally.
If the above does not resolve the problem, then please quit software-
center and then relaunch by opening a terminal and typing:
$ software-center
Then, please try to browse software per your description, and copy and
paste any output that you see on the terminal to this report.
This information will help us to figure out exactly what the issue is
and get it resolved for you as soon as we can.
