*sound on philips laptop works on ubuntu 9.10 but not on 11.04 aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav does not work sudo aplay -l gives card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device -0: ALC260 Analog see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HdaIntelSoundHowto cat /proc/asound/card0/codec* | grep Codec shows ALC260 and a motorola less HD-Audio-Models.txt.gz shows the ALC260 with a list of pc’s .
