** Description changed: I am using a new, clean PC with a newly downloaded installation of Xubuntu 11.10 64-bit. I put in an Audio CD and I cannot make it play. I can see the WAV files in the File Manager, but no way to play them. If I (illegally) copy - them to the hard drive, I can play them, but not frmo the CD. + them to the hard drive, I can play them, but cannot play them from the + CD. Eventually I go to Settings > Settings Manager > File Manager > Advanced > Volume Management > Configure > Removable Drives & Media > Multimedia - > Audio CDs has a default application of "exaile". + > Audio CDs and see it has a default application of "exaile". However, Exaile is not installed by default. Parole and gmusicbrowser are installed by default, but neither will play an audio CD. When I manually installed Exaile, everything functioned as it should and Exaile cheerfully plays audio CDs. I think the Xubuntu 11.10 installation set I downloaded should be changed so that Exaile is installed by default. (I did ask on the #exaile and #xubuntu support IRC channels and people - on both concluded it was an Xubuntu bug,) + on both concluded it was an Xubuntu bug.)
