Public bug reported:

If "Enable assistive technologies" is checked in Assistive Technology
Preferences, all Gnome/GTK apps will freeze shortly after starting
Gnome.

I am able to replicate this bug consistently. Neither "Screenreader and
magnifier" nor "On-screen keyboard" are started. In order to fix the
issue, I have to switch to KDM, log-in to KDE and run gnome-control-
center and uncheck this option.

I am running Ubuntu 6.10 (with kubuntu-desktop installed as well).

If someone kicks me in the right direction, I am in interested in fixing
this (and submitting a patch) myself.

     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
