I tried to change my boot options to send you feedback and I find that the option :
"set gfxpayload=$linux_gfx_mode" replaced for debugging by "set gfxpayload=text" is enough to allow me to boot in text mode. In this way, I can boot in normal mode to have access to a prompt. Then, I have to run 'sudo start lightdm' yet to log in using graphical mode (but I think it is what we expect with gfxpayload=text). So, I hope it can help you ! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973187 Title: ubuntu doesn't boot in normal mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/973187/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
