Public bug reported:
I have been using NIS since 6.06 and it works fine in my small netowrk
of <10 workstations/users.
I installed feisty a few weeks ago and have been building an image to
deploy. Last week after one of the updates, NIS no longer works
properly.
I use kubuntu-list them so my students can see the list of users to
select from. I am getting the list of users from the server just fine.
I can ypcat passwd and I get the list of users from the server.
However, none of the NIS accounts can log in. Only local accounts can
login. My other machines are still using 6.10 and they are working
fine. SO I know the passwords are correct, still cannot log in.
Please tell me if there is anything I can do to assist in fixing this
bug as far as testing goes.
