Now at the moment I don't have access to the computer, and it doesn't
really need logs, just the fstab entry, something like this:

//192.168.44.100/share   /path_to/mount   cifs
username=server_user,password=secret,_netdev   0 0

You can replicate it anywhere. BTW, there is no way to get access to
change the fstab file, neither in recovery mode, so If you want to test
it, have prepared a live CD to change it.
