Hi Sitsofe, good news first: It's not the linux-kernel nor Ubuntu. It is my DDR2-memory.
I bought a new CPU two days ago, but still got crashes, even reboots. Installed windows xp and enabled cool n quiet and also windows crashed und rebooted unexpectedly. I googled around and somewhere somebody suggested to slow down the memory. I've got PC667 and I switched it to PC533. Since then my system runs stable. So you can close this issue. Sorry for having you troubled with this. -- cool 'n' quiet crashes kernel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/114643 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
