Hi, the all-in-one device HP Deskjet F4580 is supported through HPLIP, so it does work with simple-scan. I did read through your how-to for reporting bugs: ran a test session with xsane - no problems. However, after trying to reproduce the crash with simple-scan it worked perfectly and did not crash at all. Nothing changed in the setup. The only possibility is that there were some updates in the meantime.
So I'd say leave the status as it is, since I cannot reproduce the problem. I'f the crash happens again - I'll post an update. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/958394 Title: Simple scan crashed after an extended pause between scans To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/simple-scan/+bug/958394/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
